Cedar Creek Reservoir was constructed between 1961 and 1965. Nestled in the woodlands of East Texas, the lake is located in Kaufman and Henderson Counties, has a surface area of 32,873 acres, has maximum dimensions of 8.5 miles wide and 18 miles long, with a shoreline of approximately 220.26 miles.

Lake Cedar Creek is the fourth largest lake in Texas and located approximately one hour southeast of Dallas.
