Lake Fork is one of the most popular lakes to fish. The lake has placed 34 out of the Top 50 Largemouth Bass caught in the entire state of Texas.

Toledo Bend Reservoir is the largest man-made body of water in the South and fifth largest in surface acres in the United States.

The Highland Lakes, located on the Colorado in the Hill Country region, represent a unique series of reservoirs: Buchanan, Inks Lake, LBJ Lake , Lake Marble Falls, Lake Travis , Lake Austin, and Town Lake.

San Juan River, located in Northwestern New Mexico, is one of the most famous tail-water trout fisheries in the world.

The largest and most popular lake in New Mexico is Elephant Butte Lake.

Navajo Dam is the New Mexico's second largest lake. The lake offers the full gamut of water sports and services. It contains both cold- and warm-water fish species.

One of the most interesting spots of New Mexico is Bottomless Lakes, seven small park lakes bordered by high red bluffs.

One of the most picturesque lakes is Eagle Nest Lake. Surrounded by two of the state's highest peaks, this lake is known for its kokanee salmon and rainbow trout fishing. The abundant wildlife in the area includes bear, elk, mountain cats, beavers, and eagles, both bald and golden.

Cimarron Canyon State Park is a part of the Colin Neblett Wildlife Area, the largest wildlife area in the state.
